Introduction

One of the use cases for WCM menu components is the ability to add paging to the menu.  This can involve some trial and error, so here's a quick tip on how to easily style paging that will present previous and next links, as well as showing the current page out of X pages.

Example output:

Now at a glance, this is pretty simplistic, however there are some nuances around how to get the paging to show not as a link, as well as to show the paging in the separator field when you get to the last page.  If you have nothing in the inactive control field, the separator will not display, and then you won't have the Page X of X showing.

The values for the fields of the WCM Paging component are as follows:

For the Page Navigation select just the Shuttle control:

Then for the separator:

  Page of

And all that's necessary is to leave some of the fields empty but populate the others:

Note that you want the next control - inactive design to have the  , or else the separator will not show, so you will not see the Page X of X.
